Fetch Academy
Physical exercise and mental exercise are very important for a well rounded dog. Why not be able to get them both one day. With Fetch Academy your dog will be able to enjoy the experience of playing with friends and exploring the yards at Fetch Park City while also participating in training sessions where they will learn new things or improve on certain skills.
Training programs that are available:
These programs are for dogs that are going for daycare or boarding. Please visit the Private Training Sessions page to schedule a session if your dog is not going to be going to daycare or boarding.
Single sessions are $120
Purchase 5 sessions and each session will be $110. (All 5 sessions must be purchased at the same time to receive the discount.)
Payment must be received before the session. Once you have submitted the waiver we will reach out with further instructions.
Well Rounded Program:
Is your dog new to training or needs to brush up on their skills? This is the program for you. There are three phases to this program:
Basic
This 5 session phase focuses on basic commands such as sit, stay, down, look and basic leash work. These sessions are trained on Fetch property with low level of distractions.
Intermediate
This 5 session phase focuses on taking the basic commands and adding more distractions on Fetch property. Commands that will be trained during this phase include, basic recall, touch, door etiquette, place and leave-it.
Advanced
This 5 session phase focuses on taking the basic and intermediate commands and adding a high level of distractions. Skills that will be trained during this phase include; automatic stop, middle, basic agility and body awareness.
Walk and Train Program:
Do you enjoy taking your dog for leash walks? If the answer is no, this is the program you have been looking for. There are three phases to this program:
Basic
This 5 session phase focuses on getting your dog used to the leash and paying attention in the heel position. This training will take place on Fetch property with low level of distractions.
Intermediate
This 5 session phase takes the skills learned in the basic program and takes them to the next level. During this program we venture out in to the community to start training with mild distractions.
Advanced
This 5 session phase focusing on real life training. Taking your dog into highly distracting areas and interacting with other people and dogs while on leash (as long as your dog is not reactive while on leash).
Recall Program:
Do you trust your dog to come to you when they are off leash?If the answer is no, this is the program for you. This program focuses on the skills your dog will need to have a successful recall. There are three phrases to this program:
Basic
This 5 session phase focuses on name recognition, recall games and short and long leash recall with no distractions. This training will take place on Fetch property with low level of distractions.
Intermediate
This 5 session phase will take your basic skills to the next leave. We will venture out to areas where there are more distractions, such as people and other dogs.
Advanced
This 5 session phase will take place at several locations that your dog is allowed to be off leash (Run-a-muk, Round Valley, and the Fetch Yards).
Customized Program:
If you are not seeing the commands and/or skills you need help with, we can set up a customized program to fit your needs.
Requirements for all programs:
After each 5 session phase you will be required to meet with the trainer for a 1 hour session to review the items that have been trained and to work through any problems. These session can be held at your home or Fetch. The cost of this session will be $100. The trainer will decide if the dog is ready to go onto the next phase.
By us working with your dog this does not guarantee that your dog will be able to perform those skills with you. It is important for you to spend time working on these skills as well to keep the consistency with training.
After each session with your dog we will send you a breakdown of what we worked on and how your dog did with them. There will be the occasional video sent to show how to perform the specific skills.
** If your dog is dog reactive, people reactive or leash reactive they may not be able to complete al three phases in a program. We can tailor a program that keeps our dog safe and confident.
Each session is 60 minutes, broken down into three 20 minute segments. In between the sessions the dogs will be given a break or allowed to play with the other dogs.
Each session is $120.

Life’s Trail Dog Training is responsible for all training. Training sessions must be booked through Life’s Trail.
Payment for training will be paid directly to Life’s Trail. Payment must be received before the training sessions.
